NetworkHunter

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 12, 2026

This policy explains what NetworkHunter (networkhunter.ai) collects, why, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Account details: your name and email address. If you sign up with email, a salted hash of your password (never the password itself). If you sign in with Google, the basic profile Google shares (name, email, profile photo).
  • Profile details you provide: your university, year, major, and what you are recruiting for.
  • Your activity in NetworkHunter: the firms you follow, alumni contacts, drafts, and the status of your conversations.
  • Emails you write and send with NetworkHunter: the recipient address, subject and message of emails you copy, queue or send, your follow-up templates and sequence settings, and whether an email went out.
  • Billing: handled by Stripe. We store a Stripe customer ID and your subscription status. We do not receive or store your full card number.
  • Technical data: a session cookie to keep you signed in, and standard server logs.

Information about alumni

NetworkHunter shows professional information about people, such as name, employer, job title, school and, in some cases, an email address. This comes from third-party data providers and is used only to help students reach out. If you appear in NetworkHunter and want your information removed, email us and we will act on it.

AI features

To write opening lines for your emails, NetworkHunter sends some information to Google's Gemini API for processing: a person's publicly posted professional posts, their job title and employer, and the profile details you chose to share. The output is shown to you to edit before anything is sent. Google's own terms apply to that processing.

The NetworkHunter Sender browser extension

The optional NetworkHunter Sender extension for Chrome and Edge sends emails you queue in NetworkHunter from your own Outlook on the web. It works like this:

  • It stores a NetworkHunter access token in your browser so it can talk to NetworkHunter. You can disconnect it any time in Settings, which stops the token from working.
  • It asks NetworkHunter for the next email that is due (recipient, subject and message), opens an Outlook compose window, fills it in and presses Send, then reports back to NetworkHunter whether it went out.
  • On Outlook pages it reads only what it needs for two jobs. To send an email, it reads the compose window to confirm the recipient and subject were filled in and that the email was sent. To detect replies, it reads the message list in your Outlook inbox (sender name, subject and a short preview) and compares it, in your browser, with the emails sent through NetworkHunter. You can turn reply checking off in the extension's popup.
  • What the extension sends to NetworkHunter about your inbox is only a result: which person replied or whose address bounced. It never sends the text of your messages, your other emails, or the message list itself. It does not read your folders or messages beyond that list.
  • The extension does not sell data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone else. Its use of information is limited to providing the sending feature you asked for.
